The Argentine Zionist Women’s Organization, which will be 50 years old in August, started the celebration with several events, among them a reception in its own headquarters which was attended by hundreds of delegates. Greetings were given by Israeli Ambassador Ram Nirgad, while Mrs. Raya Yaglom, president of WIZO, spoke about the women’s role in Israel. Other speakers were Clara Kaplan, who is one of the founding members of the AZWO and the chairman of AZWO Catalina Epstein.
