The Austrian Chancellor, Dr. Bruno Kreisky, will lead a fact-finding mission to the Middle East in mid-Feb. This was announced after a special meeting of the Socialist International which took place here Sunday and was attended by representatives of 14 Social Democratic parties, among them Michael Harish, the international secretary of Israel’s Labor Party. The mission, which will probably conclude its work in mid-March, will include representatives of the British Labor Party and the Socialist Parties of Holland, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg and Sweden. A spokesman for the Socialist International told the JTA that the mission will endeavor to study “the conditions and views of the people in the Middle East.”
