The B’nai B’rith Council of New Jersey opens its annual one-day convention here on Sunday morning in Temple Emanuel. Delegations from the twelve branches throughout the State will attend.
The morning session will start at 10 o’clock and will be followed by a luncheon. A public meeting will be held in the afternoon. Scheduled to speak are Judge Leopold C. Glass, president of the district; Joseph Herbach, secretary; Judge Joseph L. Kuhn, of Philadelphia; Richard Gudstadt, executive director of the anti-defamation work of B’nai B’rith and Max J. Kohler, noted attorney, whose articles recently appeared in the Jewish Daily Bulletin.
Charles H. Roemer, president of the Paterson Jewish Community Council has issued an invitation to all groups in the city to attend the afternoon public meeting. The session is expected to be one of the largest open discussions on German-Jewish conditions held in the county.
