The British government’s new policy in Palestine was the subject of sharp criticism at the protest meeting held here by the Poale Zion, Socialist Zionist organization, at Temple Judea. Max Dolnik, M. Bogdansky and Dr. H. Pomerantz were among the speakers. A resolution adopted by the meeting charged that the White Paper issued by the British government was “an unjust and cruel betrayal of the sacred obligation, assumed by the various British governments since the late war, to help build a Jewish National Home in Palestine.” The resolution also deplored the “open attack upon the Jewish workers in Palestine” which is contained in the announcement of policy.
