The campaign for the United Jewish Appeal was launched at a large mass meeting hela in the Everett Community Center on Sunday evening. Representatives of all local Jewish organizations were present. The principal speaker of the evening was Rabbi Jacob Freedman, of Temple Beth El, Chelsea. Other speakers included the local mayor and state representatives. With the enthusiasm generated at this meeting it is expected that the Everett community will go over the top in its campaign. With the final arrangements made for a monster mass meeting to be held at the local Hebrew School on Sunday evening. Chelsea, Mass., Jewry also is already definitely embarked upon its campaign to raise $3,000 toward the national quota of $3,000,000.
