The chief of the famed “Red Orchestra” will emigrate to Israel next week. Leopold Trepper, who led the Soviet spy ring that operated in France during World War II, will go to Jerusalem with his wife, Loba, and his son, Edgar, Trepper, who went to Israel to prepare his aliya last spring, said, “I am very happy to be returning to my country after all that has happened to me since I left it in 1929. Trepper, who is 71 years old, speaks fluent Hebrew.
