The chief prosecutor at the Nuremberg war crimes trials died. Telford Taylor, who was a U.S. Army colonel during the trials — which prosecuted, among others, Nazi official Hermann Goering — was 90. In later years, Taylor spoke out against the Communist witch hunt led by Sen. Joseph McCarthy and against the war in Vietnam.
