The Christian Coalition launched a radio ad campaign asserting that the deadly rampage last month at Columbine High School in Colorado proves the need for having prayer in schools. In the ads, which aired in lowa and New Hampshire and were timed to coincide with President Clinton’s summit on school violence Monday, the Christian Coalition’s executive director, Randy Tate, said, “It’s time for Congress to lift the ban on the expression of faith in our classrooms. Give our kids the opportunity to pray, and our teachers the freedom to discuss morality and decency.”
