The College for Jewish Studies in Heidelberg, Germany, plans to start a multidenominational rabbinical studies program in the fall. Another previously announced rabbinical training program, under the auspices of the liberal Abraham Geiger College in Potsdam, is also planned for the fall. Both are a response to the growing need for rabbis and Jewish religion teachers in Germany.
