The commander of Israel’s air force urged that a solution to tensions with the United States over Israel’s planned sale to China of an advanced airborne warning system be resolved “as soon as possible.” Gen. Dan Halutz told a news conference it is increasingly difficult to conduct an open dialogue with U.S. officials because of the controversy surrounding the sale.
