The Committee for Aid to Guatemalan Earthquake Victims has dedicated a memorial grove in the Jewish National Fund’s Guatemalan Independence Forest near Nazareth. Committee chairman Max Alon presented the Guatemalan Ambassador with a JNF Forest Certificate. The envoy expressed his country’s warm appreciation for the assistance rendered by Israel after the disaster. He said it compared with aid received from much wealthier countries.
