The conference of Jewish religious congregations in Soviet Russia, scheduled to take place in Leningrad on October 21, was postponed until November 21, the correspondent of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency here learns from Moscow.
The convenors of the conference had planned it to take place during the first week of October. The Soviet authorities refused to permit the conference on this date, which would have coincided with the period of celebration of the tenth anniversary of the Bolshevik Revolution. It was then decided to allow more time to enable delegates from distant parts of Russia to participate in the proceedings.
