The death of Cantor Josef Rosenblatt has deeply stirred the Jewish community of this city where he was widely known and deeply loved.

The noted Jewish composer, Solomon Golub, who is now in Toronto, was Cantor Rosenblatt’s life-long friend. He has cabled his condolences to Mrs. Rosenblatt. It was Mr. Golub who arranged for Cantor Rosenblatt’s trip to Jerusalem.

The Association of Cantors under the leadership of their president, Jacob Rappaport, decided yesterday to hold a memorial meeting, in honor of Cantor Rosenblatt. The meeting will be held Tuesday evening in Carnegie Hall. Two hundred cantors of the Association and their assistants will sing fitting songs under the baton of Joseph Rumshinsky, noted Jewish composer.
