The director of the Simon Wiesenthal Center’s Jerusalem office called on the Swedish government to probe its role in allowing Nazi war criminals into the country after World War II. Efraim Zuroff said Sweden had avoided the issue for decades and said it was time to find a legal mechanism to prosecute or deport such criminals.
