The extension of Israeli law to the Golan Heights found further expression Wednesday when the first Israeli law court was opened in Kaztrin, the urban and administrative center of the region. Justice Minister Moshe Nissim affixed a mezuzah to the door of the new magistrate’s court. The court got down to work immediately, hearing six cases of traffic violations and minor criminal matters. The court will serve both local Jews and Druze residents.
