The former head of the Mossad Gen. (res.) Yitzhak Hofi, and two senior officers testified Wednesday before the commission of inquiry on the Beirut massacre. The testimonies were given behind closed doors. Defense Minister Ariel Sharon and Chief of Staff Gen. Rafael Eitan are scheduled to appear before the committee at the beginning of next week. It is possible that the press will be allowed to attend that session of the commission, if only part time. The commission held its first official meeting Tuesday, reviewing written material.
