The Geneva correspondent of the London “Daily Express” states in a despatch from the seat of the League of Nations that official literature of the League of Nations contained only the briefest information concerning the work of the Permanent Mandates Commission, but there was sufficient evidence in this information that the recent Palestine trouble could not have surprised the British Colonial Office and that the late British government clearly refused to see “the handwriting on the Wailing Wall.”
