The Greek Army’s General Staff issued a special order granting all Greek Jewish soldiers an eight-day pass to celebrate Passover at home. The Central Council of Greek Jewish Communities helped obtain the order from the Army. Every Jewish soldier serving in the Army was also given a special gift of $30.
