The head of an organization that serves as a liaison between Israel and the country’s Russian Jews resigned Sunday following a breakdown in his relationship with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The departure of Ya’acov Kedmi from Nativ followed Israel Television’s disclosure over the weekend of excerpts from a resignation letter he sent Netanyahu several months ago in which he described the prime minister’s policy towards Russian Jewry as “irresponsible” and chaotic.
