The head of Israel’s Labor Party disassociated himself from remarks made by former party leader Shimon Peres calling for a full Israeli withdrawal from the Golan Heights and the establishment of a Palestinian state. Ehud Barak said Peres’ remarks do not represent the party’s political platform.
