The head of security in Israel’s defense establishment withdrew his objection to removing convicted nuclear spy Mordechai Vanunu from solitary confinement. Vanunu, a technician formerly employed at Israel’s nuclear facility at Dimona, has served 12 years of an 18-year sentence he was given for disclosing Israel’s nuclear weapons capabilities to the Times of London newspaper.
