The Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society called on the U.S. Senate to consider humanitarian concerns when addressing the issue of undocumented immigrants. In a letter sent Wednesday to the Senate’s Judiciary Committee, HIAS called for comprehensive legislation that would allow illegal immigrants the opportunity to become lawful residents and reduce waiting times for separated family members to become reunited with their loved ones.
