The highest court in the republic of Karelia in northwestern Russia banned the activities of the ultranationalist and openly anti-Semitic Russian National Unity group, according to the Union of Councils for Soviet Jews. Karelia is the third of 85 Russian regions to ban the nation’s strongest neo-Nazi group.
