The historic 1993 handshake on the White House lawn is expected to be part of the fashion parade at next month’s Miss Universe pageant in Honolulu. The Israeli contestant, Hagit Raz, 18, plans to don a white, sleeveless dress bearing the image of Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin and Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat shaking hands, with President Clinton behind them. The word “peace,” written in English, Hebrew and Arabic, will also appear on the dress. The husband-and-wife team that designed the dress said they wanted to bring peace and beauty together.
