The Israel Defense Force armored corps Sunday unveiled its new Merkava tank, Mark Two, an improvement on the original Israelidesigned and produced battle tank which proved successful in the Lebanon war. The corps also disclosed it had started using a new improved shell in its tank guns, which had been developed and put into production since the start of the Lebanon war.
