The chairman of the Jewish Agency, Sallai Meridor, made his comments Wednesday, a day after a report said Cabinet minister Tzipi Livni said North America Jewish leaders were not doing enough to promote aliyah because they want to keep committed Jews in North America. A spokesman for Livni said the report was erroneous.
