The Jewish Agency’s Settlement Department’s budget for relief work is limited to welfare cases in the Moshavim, Yechiel Admoni, deputy director of the department, said today in reply to questions on what could be done for the inhabitants of several Moshavim who have been out on strike because relief work has ceased. Finding work for the unemployed is the government’s responsibility, Mr. Admoni said. If the Labor exchanges now considered that sufficient productive jobs are available for able-bodied applicants, this is where the Moshav inhabitants should go, he asserted.
