The Jewish Council for Public Affairs called for increased spending to combat AIDS. “The Jewish Council for Public Affairs supports and lobbies for increased funding to stop the disease, and has called upon our country to contribute an amount commensurate with our wealth,” Steve Gutow, the executive director of the umbrella body for Jewish community relations councils, said last Friday at a World AIDS Day event on Capitol Hill.
