The judge in the war crimes trial here of 16 guards and officers of the Nazi Maidanek death camp was scheduled to rule Thursday on a defense motion to drop charges of mass murder against a former Queens housewife, the first person to be extradited from the United States on suspicion of such crimes, Mrs. Hermine Braunsteiner Ryan, 66, is out of six women and nine men indicted on charges of killing at least 260,000 men, women and children between 1944, and 1944, most of them Jews, at the camp near Lublin, Poland.
