The latest Louis Harris poll results published Monday showed that 66-26 percent of Americans are opposed to the Carter Administration’s proposed sale of jet aircraft to Israel, Egypt and Saudi Arabia. “A 64-28 percent majority is against the sale of the planes to Israel,” Harris reported. “An even higher 71-20 percent majority opposes selling the planes to Egypt. And the proposed sale to Saudi Arabia is opposed by 73-18 percent,” according to the poll. The results were based on a nationwide sampling of 1199 adults.
