The leaders of six Gulf Arab states announced their support of an American-led coalition against terrorism, provided action is also taken against what they described as Israel’s terrorism against Palestinians. Analysts say the countries — Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Oman and Qatar — must strike a balance between Washington’s demands and significant grass-roots support for both the Palestinians and Osama bin Laden.
