The lower house of the Russian Parliament refused to censure a fellow lawmaker for making an anti-Semitic diatribe. In its second such decision in four months, the State Duma last Friday rejected a motion condemning Communist deputy Albert Makashov. The body also passed a resolution criticizing the media for exaggerating the dangers of “Russian fascism.”
