The National Conference on Soviet Jewry reported that Soviet Jewish activist Yuri Pokh was released last week from prison upon completion of his three-and-a-half year sentence. The NCSJ also reported that Eduard Kuznetsov, the Jewish activist sentenced to 15 years in the first Leningrad trial, has gone on a hunger strike, Kuznetsov, who has been reported seriously ill is serving his term in the Potma camp. The NCSJ said that Felix Decker, a writer, was expelled from the Writers Union because his book, “Jews in the USSR,” dealt with underground Zionist material, it was charged.
