The national director of the Anti-Defamation League resigned from an international commission of historians created to examine Latvia’s role in the Holocaust. Abraham Foxman said he resigned from the Commission of Historians, established by Latvia’s previous president, Guntis Ulmanis, because “I am deeply concerned that Latvia is not yet ready to truly examine and confront the experience of Latvian Jews during the Holocaust.”
