The Netherlands Minister for Internal Affairs said in a television interview Monday night that he may issue a decree banning the listing of religious affiliations in certificates issued by municipal registries. Persons seeking jobs in Saudi Arabia. Kuwait, and other Arab countries where Dutch construction and dredging companies now operate have been seeking certificates in order to prove they are not Jewish. The issue arose last year when these countries requested baptismal certificates.
