The newly elected Mayor of Sao Paulo, Salim Maluf, has named Mrs. Susana Frank, a Jewish social worker, to the post of secretary of social welfare in his administration. Mrs. Frank is president of the general council of the Sao Paulo Jewish Federation of Social Service and has served several terms as president of the inter-denominational Sao Paulo Federation of Social Workers. The outgoing administration of Mayor Faria Lima had one Jewish member, Jose Meiches, who was secretary of public works.
