The North American Reform movement plans to revamp its congregational schools. In a speech Saturday, Rabbi Eric Yoffie, president of the Union of American Hebrew Congregations, urged philanthropists to create a “Jewish Marshall Plan” for Hebrew schools and called on Reform congregations to raise their schools’ standards.
