The Orthodox Union is asking a kosher slaughterhouse to change its procedures in the wake of a controversial video. The footage clandestinely recorded at AgriProcessors in Iowa by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals showed animals writhing and bellowing after slaughter, an apparent violation of the halachic requirements for a swift and painless slaying.
