The Palestinian Authority prime minister appealed to the United Nations to stop Israel’s West Bank security barrier. “From the edge of this racist separation wall, I appeal to the United States, to President George W. Bush, Europe and the United Nations” to understand that the fence “leaves not a chance for the establishment of a Palestinian state,” Ahmed Qurei said Sunday during a visit to the West Bank city of Kalkilya. “But our people will not give in. They have several options and they will carry out such options,” Qurei said. Israel says the security fence thwarts would-be terrorist attackers.
