The Palestinian Authority said it “issued strict orders to all Palestinians to follow through on the implementation” of the cease-fire agreed to at the emergency summit in Egypt. Just the same, clashes were reported between Israeli forces and Palestinian gunmen in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. And in the West Bank town of Nablus, a Palestinian militia leader told thousands of cheering supporters that the armed militias would not stop their fight against Israel.
