The Palestinian delegation to a Non-Aligned Movement summit in Malaysia reportedly is seeking U.S. guarantees that Yasser Arafat can attend the conference and return safely home. The Palestinian ambassador to Malaysia told The Associated Press that he had approached Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad and appealed to him to use his influence with Washington to pressure Israel into allowing Arafat to come to next week’s summit.
