The population of the 10 largest Jewish settlements in Israel grew nearly 6 percent in the first nine months of 1998, at three times the natural growth rate, the Peace Now group said this week. Peace Now said that a total of 92,584 people were living in the 10 largest settlements, which make up 50 percent of the settler population.
