The possibility of a general students’ strike throughout Poland was forecast when the Central Committee of the students organizations held a meeting here today with the participation of a delegate from Lemberg to consider a solidarity strike in the Polish universities. The committee decided to call a mass meeting of Polish students for Saturday although the university authorities declare they will not permit such a meeting to be held.
It is further reported here that at a secret meeting of national democratic leaders it was decided to undertake the defense of the arrested students in Lemberg. Stanislaw Grabski, of Ugoda fame, participated in the meeting.
