The president of the Czech Republic pledged not to allow the sale of equipment to Iran that could be used for building weapons of mass destruction. “We’re a part of the international community, and we will not allow any such exports,” Vaclav Havel said after meeting with U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright. Last year a Czech company signed a deal to help build an Iranian nuclear plant, which U.S. officials say is part of an Iranian effort to develop weapons.
