The prime ministers of Israel and Russia agreed to cooperate to prevent the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction in the Middle East. “Relations between Israel and Russia are excellent,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said after meeting Monday in Moscow with his Russian counterpart, Yevgeny Primakov. Netanyahu said he would like to see bilateral trade “double, triple or quadruple,” adding that combining Russia’s industrial capacity with Israel’s high-tech expertise could benefit both countries.
