The radio version of “We Humans,” a one-act play dealing with the Nazi situation, originally scheduled for last Friday, was postponed until today, and will be presented over station WNYC at three o’clock. Abraham I. Levenson, the author, will direct the performance.
“A play such as “The Shatter’d Lamp’ is ineffective in one respect,” says Mr. Levenson, “and that is its inability to reach those who neither attend Broadway plays nor reside within the confines of New York. I have accordingly felt that a one-act play such as mine, which could be readily presented throughout the country by little theatre groups, would convey its message effectively. I am donating my services gratis insofar as directing a production of “We Humans” is concerned, to any representative organization in the metropolitan district which will provide an audience for it.”
