The White House confirmed today that arrangements were underway in connection with the invitations extended to Soviet leaders by President Nixon at last May’s Moscow summit conference to visit the US. The leaders invited were President Nikolai V. Podgorny, Premier Aleksei N. Kosygin and Communist Party Secretary Leonid I. Brezhnev. The Washington Star said tonight that Brezhnev would visit the US next year and that the date of his visit and itinerary would be announced by the White House after the elections.
