The San Francisco Jewish federation recently decided to give up to $100,000 in grants to the Reform and Conservative movements in Israel. The move by the Jewish Community Federation of San Francisco puts it in line with Jewish federations in other major cities, including Chicago, Los Angeles and New York, that have already made such grants.
