The seventh annual Zionist conference of the Seaboard Region will open here on Saturday night and continue Sunday and Monday. Harry T. Kellman, Chairman of the Seaboard Zionist Region, and Isidore Hershfield, Regional Chairman of the United Palestine Appeal, will speak at the opening session. Simon J. Levin, Regional Director, will deliver a report on the past year’s activities.
Sunday morning, February 24, will be devoted to a joint session of constituent Zionist Organizations. Rabbi Louis Novick will open the session, and Harry T. Kellman will deliver the President’s annual message. Mrs. Israel Shapiro will render a report, as Chairman of the Seaboard Hadassah Region. Judge William M. Lewis, of Philadelphia, National Chairman of the United Palestine Appeal, will be a principal speaker at the sessions.
A banquet will be tendered to the delegates and guests at the George Vanderbilt Hotel, which will be followed by a mass meeting. Representatives of Avukab, Mizrachi, Poale-Zion, Hadassah and Junior Hadassah will simultaneously hold their annual conferences. The Ashville Committee, in charge of arrangements, is headed by Julius Lowenbein.
