The Simon Wiesenthal Center submitted to Lithuania the names of 97 Lithuanians suspected of collaborating with the Nazis. The Center said the individuals had served in Lithuanian police battalions and local police units that played an active role in the wartime persecution and murder of Jews in Lithuania and Belarus.
